My husband Daniel is from a small town, Chicoutimi, in Northern Quebec. Canadian Hat hands down emotions from past generations through the design of up-cycled high-quality fashion and accessories. They breathe new life into exclusive pieces, proving that fashion can be sustainable, and offer an elegant and functional hat collection in a wide variety of styles.
It is our pleasure to offer this uniqueness here in our small communities. We are the only mid-west boutique with these pieces.

Cultural Preservation & Education
Canadian Hat is one of the oldest millineries in North America. Its museum-type boutique concept perpetuates this tradition and educates passersby about this traditional profession. Sewing technique expertise is passed down to younger craftspeople.

Respect for the Environment
Proving that fashion can be sustainable, the production methods are environmentally friendly, do not use any chemical processes, and utilize noble and upcycled materials to reduce waste in the textile industry. Canadian Hat integrates dead stock material and revalues jeans, silk, tweed, wool and ties in their line of hats.

We visit all our production partners in Canada and abroad regularly to ensure they share the same commitment and to validate that all craftspeople are working under ethical conditions.
